A little about me...

I know what you're thinking. Is this THE Ben Murphy?! The actor-turned-tennis player from hits such as The Merv Griffin Show (1971), the un-credited shaving student who made an appearance in the film The Graduate (1967), and The Gemini Man TV Series (1976)? If those credits are not lost on you (they mostly are on me), I regret to inform you I'm not him but I can assure you that I am a Gemini man.

I've been editing in the broadcast industry for over 10 years, working for clients such as Animal Planet, Science Channel, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, TLC, and the Discovery Channel.

My approach to editing is simple. My intention is to create a dynamic balance between picture and sound where they compliment each other and work together to tell a story.

Music has played a big part in my life. I was lucky enough to put my career on hold after college and tour the US and Canada playing countless shows in the DC-based punk band, Fairweather. Thinking a lot about music and how it should be paced often shapes how I approach and work through a cut. However, I'm not afraid to let natural moments breathe and let the story drive.

I'm also a husband, son, brother, friend, photo hobbyist, and taco enthusiast. Enough about me. Let's create stuff.
